? ? ? Xiao Haipeng, President of FAH-SYSU, emphasized that "strong international collaboration is a hallmark of first-class institutions, highlighting their commitment to global excellence and leadership in healthcare."

? ? ? He believes Institutions like FAH-SYSU and UC Berkeley, as leading organizations in China and the United States, play a crucial role in advancing systematic innovation and reform, as that the world now faces threats from emerging infectious diseases, health risks driven by environmental and climate changes, and the rising burden of noncommunicable chronic diseases.

? ? ? Xiao added, "I hope this conference will serve as a catalyst for groundbreaking ideas, meaningful dialogue, and lasting collaborations to strengthen our shared commitment to building a healthcare system that is rooted in compassion, dignity, and innovation. As the world increasingly seeks collective action to tackle complex health challenges, the relationships we forge here can serve as a beacon of international cooperation."
