On May 20, 2021, two research projects received the First Prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award.? One is led by Dr. XIAO Haipeng, Executive Vice President of SYSU and President of FAH-SYSU.? Dr. WEN Weiping, Vice President of FAH-SYSU, is the principal investigator for the other one.

The Award, which focuses on projects crucial to social progress, state security, and social well-being, recognizes FAH-SYSU's devotion to medical research and public health.
