The Second Seminar on Robotic Surgery Organized by FAH-SYSU and CITRIS, UC Berkeley, UC Davis

On August?26, 2021, The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University?and?CITRIS, University of California Berkeley and University of California Davis co-organized?the Second Seminar on?Robotic Surgery entitled State-of-the-art Application in Surgical Specialties?in the hospital.?

Dr. Xiao Haipeng, Executive Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University and President of FAH-SYSU, announced in the?opening remarks?that the?International Robotic Surgery Training Center?(IRSTC) would?be settled in the Nansha International Hospital?of FAH-SYSU. With shared enthusiasm and commitment, he believed that?state-of-the-art opportunities would be created for robotic surgery training and development?to?improve well-being globally.

Co-hosted?by Dr. Kuang Ming, Vice President of FAH-SYSU, and?Dr. Bahareh Nejad, Medical Director of Robotic Surgery from UC Davis, the event attracted over 120 attendees from China and the United States.

Clinical experts from both FAH-SYSU and UC Davis Medical Center?shared cutting-edge knowledge and experience in areas of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, and Organ Transplantation.
