On February 14, 2020, 13,100 pieces of medical protective equipment were sent by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Partners HealthCare to the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University.

“Thank you to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Partners HealthCare, who were able to support us with this donation. We are experiencing a shortage of medical supplies, and this donation enables us to provide care to our patients without disrupting the preparedness efforts that are underway at their hospitals,” said by President Xiao Haipeng of FAH-SYSU.

Medical supplies were transported by air with the support of Sun Yat-Sen University Alumni Association, China Southern Airline Company Limited and Guangzhou Customs District, P. R. China.
