On February 14, 2020, a video meeting on hospital emergency preparedness and peer-to-peer professional exchange of best practices related to caring and preparing to care for patients with Coronavirus Disease (COVID-2019) was held between Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University.

Prof. Xiao Haipeng, President, Prof. Kuang Ming, Vice President, and experts in Department of Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Respiratory Medicine from FAH-SYSU attended the meeting with Dr. Mark Davis, Vice President of Brigham Health International, Prof. Eric Goralnick, Medical Director of the Brigham Health Access Center and Emergency Preparedness, and Epidemiologist Prof. Michael Klompas from Brigham and Women's Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School.

The two sides shared their experience in managing patients with COVID-19 and discussed emergency response procedures. FAH-SYSU looks forward to working with all international partners to share best practices.
