On December 3, 2019, Professor Phoustone Vangkonevilay, President, Professor Mayfong Mayxay, Vice President, and Ms. Chanpheng Pathana, Director of the Office of International Cooperation, University of Health Sciences, Laos visited the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University for the first time.

Professor Xiao Haipeng, President of FAH-SYSU, introduced the history of Sun Yat-sen medicine and the latest development of the hospital. Then, the visitors had a hospital tour to Department of Critical Care Medicine, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Department of Emergency.

This visit deepens the understanding between the Hospital and University of Health Sciences, Laos and extends the hospital's international reputation throughout Southeast Asia.
