Biography
Lixia Xu got her MD degree from Sun Yat-sen University and PhD degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. As an oncologist, she focuses on the clinical work in hepato-bilio-pancreatic cancer and gastrointestinal cancer. Based on clinical work, she has carried out a series of translational studies of pathogenesis and metastasis in digestive system neoplasms. She has published 12 research papers as first/co-first or corresponding/co-corresponding author, on high-quality journals including Ann Oncol, Gut (3 papers) and Clin Cancer Res (with the impact factor of four papers above 30 and two papers above 10). She won the Young Investigator Award of International Digestive Disease Forum (IDDF), Poster of Distinction Award from Asian Pacific Association for The Study of the Liver (APASL). She was invited to give oral presentation in the international conference Digestive Disease Week (DDW) in USA for five times. She has obtained five national and international authorized patents. She has got several research grants as PI including National Science Foundation China and the Guangdong Outstanding Youth Fund. She won the First Prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019.
