Biography

Dr. Bao Yong graduated from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in July 2000 and has since then worked in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He received a master's degree in July 2006. He has been working in Radiation Oncology at First Affiliated Hospital, SYSU, since May 2017. He specializes in combination therapy of radiation therapy and chemotherapy for thoracic cancer (lung cancer, esophagus cancer and mediastinal tumor). He has ever participated in the compilation of books such as Minimal Invasive Treatment and Multidisciplinary Compositive Treatment of Liver Cancer and Practical Clinical Radiation Oncology. He has published over 20?papers on SCI journals and Chinese core journals?as the lead author or corresponding author.?

He has acted as the person in charge and participant of several projects of multi-centric clinical work in and outside of China. He was in charge of one project of Health Department of Guangdong Province and has participated in the research of?16?projects at provincial and ministerial level. He was awarded the 2nd Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in 2009 and the1st prize of Medical Science and Technology of Zhejiang in 2016.
