Biography

Specialize in individualized precise radiotherapy and comprehensive multidisciplinary therapy?in head and neck cancers, breast cancer, central nervous system tumors, head and neck cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, bone and soft tissue sarcomas. The technique applied in clinical practice includes stereotactic radiotherapy (commonly known as X-knife), image guided radiotherapy (IGRT), intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) and biologically functional image-guided radiotherapy (BIGRT) to improve locoregional tumor control and decrease normal tissue toxicity. Through individualized radiotherapy, the surivival and quality of life have been improved significantly.

Be engaged in translational medical research on tumor hypoxia, functional image-guided radiotherapy and DNA damage and repair to further develop biological conformal intensity-modulated precise radiation therapy and molecular targeted therapy to provide sufficient scientific evidence.

Be active in the scientific community including:?cooperating with prestigious cancer centers including MSKCC; publishing over 100 papers (SCI > 40); funds supported from National Foundation of China (NSFC) and Guangdong, etc; editorial board member for chinese core journals and oversee journals; reviewer for funding from NSFC and Doctoral thesis invited by Academic Degree & Graduate Education Evaluating Pltform of Ministry of Education.
