Dr. Dong is the editorial board member of a lot of Journals, including Chinese Journal of Cardiology, Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Sunyatseni, Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology, Journal of Clinical Cardiology and South China Journal of Cardiology. Dr. Dong achieved six National Natural Science Foundation, more than ten provincial and municipal funds, and has published over 100 articles (more than 30 SCI papers). In 2016, Dr. Dong was awarded the second prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress (the first awardee).
