Biography

Professor Wang has earned the reputation as one of the top specialists and a pioneer in Vascular Surgery ?and ?thyroid surgery. He works as a leader and a chief expert in the department of vascular、?thyroid and breast surgery at The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. He is currently the director of Guangdong ?Vascular Surgery Research Center, director of the National Joint Engineering Laboratory (Guangdong) for Diagnosis and Treatment of Vascular Diseases, president of Guangdong ?Health Management Association, vice president of Chinese association of surgeons, chief editor of Chinese vascular surgery journal?

Professor Wang has published more than 300 papers in influencing journals, 100 papers of which are recorded into SCI. For the medical research projects, He has lead two national 863 major projects, nine national natural science foundation projects,?one clinical key project?of?Ministry of?Health,?and eighteen scientific research projects, of Guangdong province and the Ministry.

Besides, he has act as the editor and deputy editor for eleven and thirty books respectively. The topics are covering vascular and endovascular surgery, thyroid surgery, general surgery?and medical dictionary. He was also invited to work out the national undergraduate textbooks.

He has won both the first price for Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award?and the first price for Guangdong Science and Technology Award in 2014. In 2009, he won the second price for Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award. And in 2007, he won the ninth Ding Ying Technology Award.
