Biography

Professor Tao has host projects supported by 973 Program, National Science & Technology Pillar Program during the 12th 5-year Plan, National Natural Science Foundation of China (Key Program) and Hi-Tech Research and Development Program of China (863). Over?50 SCI-listed papers have been published. He has won the second price of natural science award for the outstanding achievements in high school of Ministry of Education as the first completed.

Professor Tao is the editor of Gerontology, peer-reviewer of 10 international journals including Hypertension, International Journal of Cardiology, American Journal of Hypertension?and Journal of Human Hypertension.

He has taken charge of?academic positions including Vice Chairman of Hypertension Committee of CMDA, Chairman of Vascular Disease Risk Assessment Working Committee of CMDA, Chairman of Hypertension & Vascular Disease Specialists Committee of Doctor Society Integrative Medicine of CMDA, Chairman of China Southern Union for Gerontology, Chairman of Gerontology & Anti-aging Specialists Committee of Guangdong Health Management Association, Chairman of Cardiovascular Disease Specialists Committee of Guangdong?Integrative Medicine Committee.?
