Biography
It had been more than 20 years since I worked in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and worked as the vice chief physician for over 6 years in the Department of Endocrinology. I give multiple classes on?Internal Medicine?and Basics of Diagnosis?to undergraduate students each year in the University. I also train preintern students, including international MBBS students in the hospital
I’m the young committee member of the Chinese Diabetes Society, vice chief of the Obesity and Bodyweight Management Branch, Guangdong Combined Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Association, standing committee?member of the Endocrinology and Metabolism branch of Guangdong Health Management Association.
My science research expertise covers signaling transduction pathways involving insulin resistance and isle beta cell secretion. Between 2013 and 2015, I worked as a visiting scholar in Prof. Melanie Cobb lab in UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas,?USA?focusing on the expression and function of TrkB isoforms on MIN6 cells, and the induced signaling pathways in response to BDNF stimulation.?I also worked in the Department of Endocrinology, Queen Mary Hospital Hongkong between March 1st and May 31th, 2017 as ?Cheng Yu Tung Fellowship awardee.
