Biography

Professor Yanbing Li (MD, PhD) is a full professor, PhD supervisor, the director of the Department of Endocrinology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and the director of key Laboratory of Endocrinology of Guangdong province. She is the Chairman of Guangdong Diabetes Association, Council member of the Chinese Diabetes Society, Deputy Chief of the Chinese Glucose Monitoring Group. She is also the Deputy Editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Disease (Electronic Edition), Editorial Board Member of Chinese Journal of Diabetes Mellitus, Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Chinese Journal of Diabetes, Leading Guest Editor of Journal of Diabetes Research, Editorial Board Member of Supplement of Diabetes Metabolism Research and Reviews, et al. of National science and technology progress award in 2011, the first prize for Progress in Science and Technology from Guangdong Government in 2008, and the first prize for Progress in Science and Technology from the Ministry of Education in 2007. Professor Li was in charge of over 30 research plans of National Natural Science Fund, PhD Station Fund of the Ministry of Education, Key Project of the Guangdong Natural Science Fund, Guangzhou Scientific and Technogical Project, etc. As Principal Investigator of one of multi-center, she has attended more than 50 international or domestic clinical trials.
