Biography

Dr. Chen has received a Ph.D. in thoracic and cardiovascular Surgery from Sun Yet-sen University, P.R.China. He is current Vice President of East Division,Director of Department of Cardiacthoracic Surgery of East Division, and Chief surgeon of Department of Thoracic Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. He is also a member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), Secretary-general of Union of Chinese Oncology Management (UCOM), Secretary-general of Precision Medicine Management Committee of Chinese Hospital Association (CHA), council member of Guangdong Province Hospital Association (GPHA) and Secretary-general of Cancer Prevention and Management Committee of GPHA, member of Chinese Association of Thoracic Surgeons, member of Guangdong Association of Thoracic Surgeons and Deputy Head of Lung Cancer Group, and member of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Society of Cell Therapy. He has given an oral presentation and Travel Award in 2nd European Lung Cancer Conference (Geneva, 2010), a poster presentation and Travel Award in 35th ESMO (Milan, 2010), and a poster presentation in 39th ESMO (Madrid, 2014). He has published more than 40 academic papers in peer-reviewed international journals and also peer-reviewer of several academic journals.
