Biography
Professor Li Juan graduated from the Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1984 and achieved her Ph.D degree later. As a professor, chief physician, famous doctor, Ph.D mentor, director of Hematology Research Institute of Sun Yat-sen University, chief of Hematology Division and chief of the Internal Medicine Department of the First Affiliated Hospital, she is also the chair of Hematology Committee of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, former chair of Hematology Committee of Guangdong Province Medicine Association, standing committee member of Hematology Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association,? standing committee member of Hematology Committee of Chinese Medicine Association, director of Plasma Cell Diseases Working Group of Hematology Committee of Chinese Medicine Association, vice-chair of Chinese Multiple Myeloma Committee, member of international myeloma working group, and member of Asian Myeloma Network.
She has been engaged in clinical hematology over 30 years and gained rich experience in hematological diseases, especially the diagnosis and therapy of multiple myeloma.
She has more than 20 national or provincial natural science grants; has published 190 papers as the first or corresponding author, including 60 SCI papers; has won a first, a third prize in Science and Technology Progress Awards of Guangdong Province and a Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award as the principle investigator; and has been the chief editor of 6 monographs.
