Biography
Professor Li has more than 40-year working experience in the field of otolaryngology. Apart from treating general ear, throat and neck conditions, Prof. Li’s particular area of specialty?is that of the nose and sinus. He performs a variety of operations, including endoscopic sinonasal surgery (>1,000 cases), tonsillectomy?and adenoidectomy?(>1,000 cases), and complex sinus and skull base surgery (e.g., invasive sinonasal tumors, angiofibroma, chordomas) (totally >200 cases). Prof. Li is the founder of the allergic clinic in the hospital and has extensive experience in treatment of allergic diseases, especially treating the allergic rhinitis by allergen specific immunotherapy (> 1,000 cases).?He was also appointed as the vice president of the Chinese Medical Association-Society of Allergy for 6 years and the president of the Guangdong Medical Association-Society of Allergy for 10 years. His research interest focuses on the clinical management of allergic rhinitis and the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis and chronic rhinosinusitis. Prof. Li has supervised 13 graduate students including master and PhD candidates.
