Biography

Dr Hu, as a surgeon, is one of the leading experts in liver transplant surgery, pancreas transplant surgery and hepatobiliary surgery. Over the last 13 years, he has successfully completed more than 400 cases of liver transplantation, 50 cases of pancreas transplantation and 500 cases of hepatectomy with the highest standard of accomplishment. He has also completed many surgeries with highest complexity and created milestone history in his field. He is one of the most welcome and highly rated surgeons at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yet-sen University. In addition to his excellent clinical achievement, Dr Hu is an active medical researcher. His research focused on stem cells differentiation, liver cancer and transplant surgery broadly. Till now, he has more than 30 SCI papers published. In addition, he has got 4 grants from national natural science foundation of China. He also won numerous awards and prizes include Second Prize of National Awards on Science and Technology Progress of China for the “Technology innovation of abdominal multivisceral transplantation and its Popularization and Application” in 2015.
