Biography

Prof Xiao Yang is?Director, Department of Nephrology, The First Affiliated Hospital, SYSU; Vice director of Key Laboratory of Nephrology, Ministry of Health.?Her academic positions include a member of the ISPD nominating committee; vice president of Committee of Nephrology, China Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine; the member of the standing committee of Chinese Society of Blood Purification Administration;?the member of the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Nephrology and the member of the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Blood Purification.

As a PI, she has received 16 scientific research grants, among which 6 research grants from Chinese National Nature Science Foundation. She has published more than 220 papers in domestic and international journals and?over 60 papers published in peer-reviewed English journals, including AJKD, CJASN, NDT, etc.?Also as a co-investigator, she was awarded?The Second-class Prize of the National Sci-Tech Advance Award,?The First-class Prize of the Guangdong Sci-Tech Advance Award?and The second-class Prize of the Sci-Tech Advance Award of Chinese Medicine Society,?etc. She was the ISPD?Young Investigator Grant Recipient and ISPD Travel Grant Recipient.
