Biography

As a?surgeon, Professor Zou has devoted himself to improving oncological result of bone and soft tissue sarcoma including osteosarcoma ,chondrosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, synovial sarcomaet al through early and accurate diagnosis, careful pre-operation planning and individualized treatment. To gain better function,he focuses on the limb reconstructionfor?patient with sarcoma, especially foradolescent patients, extendable prosthesis, semi-joint prosthesis and vascularized autograph have been adopted to keep both legs length equality. ?He also experts on treatment of bone metastasis andpelvic tumors. Now he has curedhundreds?of patients and regards caring for patients as the greatest privilege of his life.

As a research scientist, he?interested in study?on mechanism of development and metastasis of osteosarcoma. He?has successfully established two primary culture osteosarcoma cell lines with different metastasis potential from the same patients, which have become a useful model for osteosarcoma research. The?expression and clinical significance of Cancer-testis antigens in osteosarcoma were first reported by Professor Zou, which are promising?molecular?targetsfor immunotherapy.?His research findings have been published in more than 30 JournalsincludingAnnal of surgery, Cancer, Molecular Cancer Therapeutic, J Natl Cancer Inst, J Clin Invest,?Oncogene et al.
