On October 25, 2018, Dr. Cheri Nijssen-Jordan, Dr. Carla Coffin and Professor Norman Wong from University of Calgary visited the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University.

Professor Xiao Haipeng, Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University and President of First Affiliated Hospital, SYSU, extended a warm welcome to the guests and introducedour hospital about its medical sciences and glorious history. A hospital tour to Departments of Pediatrics, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Emergency Medicine and Clinical Trials Unit was followed.

Afterwards,Dr. Cheri Nijssen-Jordan, Dr. Carla Coffin and Professor Norman Wong lectured respectively about clinical trials, basic research and epigenetics in Times International Conference Hall on the 17th floor of Outpatient Building.
