During the 39th SICOT Orthopaedic World Congress held fromOctober 10th to 13th in Montreal, Canada, Professor GuLiqiang, Director, Department of Orthopedics, Trauma & Microsurgery, FAH, SYSU; President-elect, Chinese Society of Microsurgery was elected Chairman of International Society of Orthopaedic and Trauma Society (SICTO) Orthopaedic Microsurgery Committee.

At the conference, the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University won the right to host the 2019 SICOT Orthopaedic Microsurgery Conference in Guangzhou to be held from September 6th to September 8th, 2019.
