Dr. WU Dexi, Associate Professor from Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and a member of the Medical Team to Dominica, has successfully performed the first temporary pacemaker implantation in Dominica, reported the Chinese Embassy in Dominica.

This is not the first significant breakthrough Dr. WU has made in Dominica. He has also practiced the first Holter ECG monitoring and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring in Dominica-China Friendship Hospital.
